Sunday Club Newsletter

Autumn 2016
Welcome to our new look newsletter!

We hope you had a restful and enjoyable summer break and feel refreshed. A big welcome to new members to Sunday Club we hope you settle into your groups quickly a make some new friends!

JUST A REMINDER….
Second Sundays are now Holy Communion.
Fourth Sundays are now All-Age so there will be
no Sunday Club.

HELPERS AND LEADERS

We are always looking for new helpers and leaders to join the Sunday Club team.

Helpers can volunteer as much or as little as they like and are there to support the group leader so no prep is required! Leaders join a group rota and plan the session with the help of Scripture Union or Urban Saints resource. The resources give lots of weekly ideas to make sessions easy to plan. Children also receive books to accompany the leaders resources.

If you’re interested in becoming a helper or leader contact Beth Davey the Sunday Club coordinator.

HARVEST

On Sunday 2nd October we are having one service at 10am. We will be collecting non-perishable food items for Luton Food Bank things like tins of soup, pasta and gravy. The children will stay together when they go out for Sunday Club to do Harvest themed activities!Harvest2

STICKER SUNDAYS

All of our children receive a sticker each week when they attend Sunday Club and they exchange their stickers for gifts from our Sticker Shop so the more stickers you collect the more gifts you can buy! We’ve decided to hold our Sticker Sunday once a year in July so watch out for the date next year which will be published in the notice sheets in June/July.

If there are any budding directors out there or anyone who would like to be involved in the planning of the nativity we love to hear from you, phone or email Beth our Sunday Club coordinator,
