Prayer Breakfast... will be on Saturday 6th September 2008
between 8.00-9.00am.

Water
Companies... are ignoring churches charitable status and starting
to charge Churches for the amount of area (i.e. roofs and car parks)
that will collect rainwater and discharge it into the sewer network.
This will effectively raise most churches water bills by hundreds if
not thousands of pounds. There is an online government petition
(objecting to this) that you can register on. You can access this
petition at: http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/ChurchWaterBills
Budget
Coaches Meeting... A reminder to all those who will be part of
the budget coaching team that there will a meeting tonight at 7.30pm
in the hall meeting room to discuss the next steps.
SUMMER
SERVICES...As usual over the summer period, will we just be
having the ONE service each week at 10.00am starting on Sunday 3rd
August. Each week will be a service of Holy Communion. Therewill be
joint activities for all children under High School age. Normal
service times resume on Sunday 7th September.
Pathfinder
Barge Trip... For all pathfinders coming on the barge trip on
Tuesday, please meet at the Vicarage to set off at 9.00am. And do
remember your packed lunches - and remind your friends about bringing
food as well! We will be dropping you all at home sometime after
5.00pm depending on the traffic!?
Sue
Ball... & her fiance, Richard, would like to invite
everyone to come and share in the service to bless their marriage, at
St Francis Church on Saturday 2nd August at 12 noon, and also for
some cake after the service on Sunday 3rd.
Morals
Questions" Answers... following on from the Housegroup study
of moral issues, we will be having an evening of questions &
answers for all-comers on Friday 1st August at 7.30pm. Mike, Rod and
Allan will be at hand to help explore our thinking and praying.
Advanced
Notice - Back to Curch Sunday... The 28th September will be an
opportunity to invite old friends back to our church services. If you
know people who have drifted away from the church family then start
praying for them now and be ready to invite them at the beginning of
September. Invitation cards will be nearer the time.
Christmas
Craft Day at St. Christopher's (with St. Anne's).. .will be held
on Saturday 8th November 10am-4pm. See poster on table at the back of
the church.
